Description
Talking Scoop is larger than the push 'n go vehicles. He's about 6" tall and just over a foot long when his backhoe is not folded out and much longer when it is. It's constructed out of bright yellow plastic that is extremely tough and durable. He has a scoop in front that can be lifted and a large backhoe in the rear. It's hinged to lift up and out. There is a light on top and a smokestack on the side. Behind his large rear wheel there is a set of "legs" that can fold up or down. He has eyes that roll and a silver and black mouth that moves from side to side. A small plastic Bob figure is included and is supposed to ride on the side steps.
Scoop uses 20 different phrases. There are many ways to get him to talk, and as I stated, it seems he doesn't need any assistance at all at times. To get him talking you can; press his smokestack inward, lift his front bucket, move his backhoe around or just roll him. Also you can snap the Bob figure into place and they'll interact by talking to one another. As he talks, he randomly lifts his scoop and legs, flashes his light, rolls his eyes and moves his mouth.
The voice of Scoop it just like it is on television. It's a lively, clear child's voice. Some of the things he says include: "Can we fix it? Yes we can!" "Hop on Bob", ""I'm ready to go!", "I can dig it!" He also revs up his engine, makes lots of noisy machine sounds and plays the Bob the Builder theme song. Although he is said to say 20 phrases, the above are actually the only ones I ever hear. Bob talks as well. He doesn't talk on his own, but only when snapped onto Scoop.
